Seattle Benchmarking Grace Period Enacted

Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment has enacted a 3-month grace period for submitting Seattle Benchmarking data, giving building owners until Oct 1st, 2023 to submit data.

This past year, Puget Sound Energy migrated customers’ data from their previous online platform, MyData, to EnergyCAP. The new platform will be better able to accommodate more users’ energy data as many Washington State buildings owner outside of Seattle are benchmarking using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager for the first time. During the transition to EnergyCAP, many data connections for automatic reporting from the utility to Portfolio Manager were interrupted, leaving buildings without current energy data records or EUIs.

If you still need to bring your building up to date for the new October 1st deadline, start with PSE’s EnergyCAP platform, and contact Sershon Systems if you’d like support.
